Designing and laser cutting 3D Canon camera.

This was one of those projects where we helped our client to design her project. First, we had to make 3D file for a Canon camera with all the details and buttons and windows using an Autodesk software and our designing muscles. Then using the same program sliced the final shape into a set of layers for laser cutting. Autodesk allows you to play with many options, including type and direction of slicing, number of layers and thickness of the material. Simply playing with those few options you can get quite a different result. We went for a simple vertical stack slicing and 4mm corrugated cardboard for this project. All we had to do after is to laser cut it. The result you can see on the picture.

Laser cutting and advertising.

Another example proving how versatile laser cutting technology is. This work of ANDRES CALDERON shows that laser cutting can be smartly used to make an exciting and highly detailed ad campaign with just a laser cutter in your hands. Not bad, especially if you have a few pieces of chipboard and limited budget.

Laser cutting for fashion.

It is not a first time when Iris van Herpen strikes us with her unprecedented way to juxtapose craftsmanship and technology. In particular, laser cutting technology. This ability to imagine those surreal looks made out of thousand plastic pieces and bring them to life, using cutting edge technology is astonishing.

Laser cut acrylic sign with LED light

Using LED lights in your manufacturing process can be very exciting. You can combine it with laser cutting technology and get even more exciting result.
We made this Starbucks sign by laser cutting 1/4 in clear acrylic. The logo was engraved from the back. LED lights bring the logo on when installed from any side of the sign.

Laser cutting a sign. One step in the process.

One of our specialties is making/manufacturing interior or exterior signs for different businesses. Mostly, laser cutting is just one step in the whole process. Lasers are very precise and relatively inexpensive tools for making a base pieces for your sign. In the pictures below is shown how we laser cut 1/2mdf sheets making a 2.5 in thick MTV sign. It starts with 6 identical shapes which we laser cut first. Next step will be gluing all six together to make a solid 2.5in thick shape.
